Junda Wu is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker whose work explores the tension between control and intimacy. Moving fluidly between narrative cinema, fashion, and music-driven storytelling, he creates visually restrained worlds charged with emotional intensity.

Trained in music before transitioning into film, Wu brings a rhythmic sensibility to image-making. His commercial and fashion work has been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and GQ, while his narrative shorts have screened internationally and received recognition on the festival circuit.

Wu’s recent films lean into psychological thrillers, horror, and high-concept science fiction, constructing controlled visual environments where tension builds beneath restraint. Drawing from his background in music and fashion imagery, he approaches narrative through rhythm, atmosphere, and design—allowing emotion to emerge through composition rather than exposition.
